Institutional clients

SRK is counsel to a number of institutional clients, providing them with advice and consultation as well as litigation services. Because institutional clients have particular needs, the Firm provides services in addition to litigation at no cost:

  • weekly notification of newly filed securities cases, with a summary recommendation as to whether clients should consider taking action;

  • weekly notification of settled cases brought by other plaintiffs, where the client is entitled to recover, with the key information needed to make a claim;

  • monitoring the news, regulatory filings, and movement of stocks to detect evidence of fraud. When, after investigation, the Firm identifies a loss due to fraud, it prepares a detailed written analysis and recommendation and brings it to the attention of institutional clients for consideration of further action;

  • conducting educational seminars for institutional investors and pension fund administrators on the latest legal developments in corporate governance and rights of investors.

The Firm has also been in the forefront of advising and representing foreign institutional investors in U.S. class actions. SRK works with and represents various institutional investors in Europe, and conducts seminars on securities class actions. The Firm is currently counsel to several large European entities who have filed securities fraud cases in the United States: In re Parmalat Securities Litigation (S.D.N.Y.); and In re Royal Dutch/Shell Transport Securities Litigation (D. N.J.). The Firm’s clients in the Parmalat case have been appointed co-lead plaintiffs.
